macOS says it cannot verify DevHub and will not open it
Symptom
You open DevHub from Applications and macOS says it cannot verify the developer. DevHub does not start.
Cause
DevHub is not yet signed with an Apple developer certificate, so macOS stops it on the first start. This is expected.
Solution
- Open System Settings, then Privacy & Security.
- Scroll down to the message about DevHub and click Open Anyway.
- Open DevHub again and confirm.
Right-click and Open does not get past this prompt on current macOS.
