# DevHub says "The link expired" or "Signing in did not work"

> What to do when the sign-in link runs out after 10 minutes or the browser never confirms the sign-in.

**Symptom:** DevHub shows "The link expired", "Signing in did not work" or "The session expired" and goes back to the sign-in screen.

**Cause:** The sign-in link is valid for 10 minutes. If the sign-in is not confirmed in the browser in that time, DevHub says "The sign-in was not finished within 10 minutes." "Signing in did not work" means DevHub did not get a confirmation from the browser. "The session expired" means the 7 days of the session are over, or Vartari ID withdrew the session.

**Solution:** Click **Sign in again** and finish the sign-in in the browser. While DevHub waits you can use **Open the browser again**, or **Copy link** to open the link in another browser. If you have to choose a workspace profile and wait too long, DevHub says "The choice timed out"; sign in again.
